Fundraising

You too can be a beacon of light for young refugees by fundraising for us!

We have had some excellent fundraisers so far, why don't you join them in our wall of fame?! You could do a sponsored run, skydive or any other activity that challenges and appeals to you. You could do a tea party or coffee morning or silly jumper day at work. Or do something like our amazing fundraisers below!

WALL OF FAME

Jack Hunt School

A massive heartfelt thanks to Jack Hunt school who donated £100 and raised additional funds by holding a raffle on behalf of My Bright Kite, following on from our workshops and talks at the school.

Here is what Martin Barwise, Assistant Headteacher had to say:

"It was an absolute pleasure to have Gulwali visit our school, to give his testimony to all our staff in our September training day. He highlighted the great many challenges that he, and other refugee children, have overcome and the power of education to support and help them. Developing from this it was great to have Nola lead training to teachers – both primary and secondary, at our annual teaching and learning conference. Providing insight and training to support refugee children in our schools and classrooms. Thank you for all the great work that you do."

Through the raffle and donation we were honoured to receive £192.54 from the school!

A huge thank you to everyone in the school who contributed.

Lawnswood High School

The students and staff at Lawnswood High School organised a community picnic and fundraiser in World Refugee Week to raise money for My Bright Kite. We had glorious sunshine, kite-flying, a dance performance from the students, music and lots of lovely food!

Together they raised a whopping £236! Amazing!

Thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so special.

Chloe and Heather at Masters of Craft

Chloe and Heather hosted a wonderful evening at their salon exploring different ways you can make your hair and beauty habits eco-friendly.

They generously chose to fundraise during the evening for My Bright Kite by running a raffle with some fabulous prizes donated by the speakers of the evening.

Together they raised a huge £150!

Thank you so much Chloe and Heather and to everyone who took part on the evening.

Phill Wilcox

Phill was our very first fundraiser and we feel incredibly privileged to have her support. She is running 10 x 10k's in 10 months! Amazing!

So far Phill has raised a fantastic £105 for My Bright Kite!

A huge thank you and well done Phill, we're rooting for you!
