My Bright Kite CIC is a specialist not-for-profit organisation working to improve the wellbeing and inclusion of young refugees through a range of professional services and bespoke youth programmes.
Founded in 2017 by Nola Ellen a youth practitioner, trainer and educator, who has worked in the NGO sector with young refugees for over 15 years and Gulwali Passarlay, who originates from Afghanistan. Gulwali came to the UK in 2007 as an unaccompanied minor aged 13, where he applied for asylum. Gulwali is the author of The Lightless Sky and for the past 4 years, he has told his personal story to thousands worldwide, opening their hearts and minds and deepening their understanding of the plight and resilience of young refugees.
My Bright Kite CIC was founded to improve the lives of young refugees. We support and empower young refugees through our direct youth work programmes, delivered in the UK. We create systemic change through our education, training and consultancy services and use the stories and experiences of young refugees to spark human connection, sow seeds of compassion and inspire our audiences to work together in supporting the inclusion and wellbeing of young refugees.
